Solar Equity Venture is an equity and debt financing platform dedicated to accelerating the development of sustainable infrastructure in Bangladesh, with an initial focus on South Asia. Our objective is to catalyse financing for innovative clean infrastructure projects to help advance climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts and, more broadly, achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

Headquartered in Bangladesh, and with initial capital of BDT 10 million provided by shareholders, sister companies, and a special purpose vehicle, we aim to deploy blended finance reaching a scale of near BDT 100 million within five years — to unlock and crowd in commercial capital for projects that are unable to access traditional finance.

Our primary sector focus is solar energy and energy storage, and e-mobility. Transactions in other areas — climate adaptation, agriculture and land use, and technology-led solutions — are likely to be considered in the future.

Solar Equity Venture was founded with a vision to accelerate Bangladesh's transition to a clean, resilient, and sustainable energy future.

Building on the extensive experience of our sponsor company, Solar EPC Development Ltd., we combine project development expertise with innovative investment solutions to unlock renewable energy opportunities. Since 2017, our team has successfully developed, financed, engineered, procured, constructed, and managed high-quality solar energy projects across Bangladesh.

Through strong partnerships with businesses, financial institutions, technology providers, and local communities, we have contributed to expanding clean energy infrastructure and supporting the country's energy transition. Our deep industry expertise, commitment to innovation, and long-term investment philosophy continue to drive our mission of developing sustainable infrastructure that delivers lasting value for investors, customers, communities, and future generations.
